Mathew started his first business at the age of 12 and has since gone on to start a total of 6 businesses.

He started his main technology business, AXXIS Technology, 22 years ago and sold that last year to a publicly listed company. Over the last 10 years, AXXIS collected 22 major awards including the Microsoft Worldwide Partner of the Year, the Australian Business Council Award for Innovation, the Small Business Champions Award as the best IT business in Australia and made the MSP Mentor International Top 100 in its last year of operation.

Mathew appeared as the only Australian featured in the 2006 US published book Top 15 Successful SMB Consultants Worldwide and was featured in the 2008 life advice book What I wish I knew at eighteen. Mathew has not only written three successful books (with his latest book, Small Business Ru!es, actually outselling JK Rowling on Amazon when it was first released) but is also the creator of the SLAM DVD which has helped thousands of IT businesses in 17 countries transform their business model with an innovative approach to IT servicing.

Mathew writes a monthly column for CRN magazine recently winning the Consensus journalism award as the most entertaining IT writer in Australia, a weekly column in MSPAnswers in the US, hosts a fortnightly technology program on ABC Radio and appears regularly on the Tony Delroy national ABC show and, after the sale of AXXIS Technology is now semi-retired and spending more time sharing his expertise with audiences worldwide. Mathew is in high demand as a keynote speaker for IT and business conferences worldwide and has spoken in Europe, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, South Africa, UAE, Australia and the USA for companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Telecom, Kaseya, Schneider-Electric, NAB, Kaseya and Autotask.

 When he is in Australia, he continues to serve the community as a Councillor in his home town, is an active member of Mensa Australia and loves to go Mountain Bike riding.
