Cairns Post

Let Us Work

EMBATTLED construction giant CMC Cairns has gone into voluntary administration and says the only way it can pay back $13 million owed to local tradies and suppliers is if it is allowed to continue trading. Work on 11 unfinished building sites in Cairns and Townsville hangs in the balance. The Building Services Authority yesterday said it would consider any request by CMC to continue trading.
